2019 Las Vegas Bowl
The 2019 Las Vegas Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 21, 2019, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. EST (4:30 p.m. local PST) on ABC. It was the 28th edition of the Las Vegas Bowl, and one of the 2019–20 bowl games concluding the 2019 FBS football season. Sponsored by automotive manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors, the game was officially known as the Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl. This was the last edition of the Las Vegas Bowl played at Sam Boyd Stadium, the venue of the game since its inception in 1992, as the bowl will move to Allegiant Stadium in nearby Paradise for the 2020 playing. This was also the last edition to have a conference tie-in with Mountain West, as starting with the 2020 playing, the bowl's tie-ins will be structured to feature a Pac-12 team against either a Big Ten team or SEC team. Sam Boyd Stadium
Sam Boyd Stadium (formerly the Las Vegas Silver Bowl) is a football stadium in the western United States, located in Whitney, Nevada, an unincorporated community in the Las Vegas Valley. It honors Sam Boyd (1910–1993), a major figure in the hotel and casino industry in Las Vegas. The stadium consisted of an uncovered horseshoe-shaped single-decked bowl, with temporary seating occasionally erected in the open north end zone. The artificial turf field had a conventional north–south orientation, at an elevation of above sea level. It was the home field of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels for 49 seasons, from 1971 through 2019; they moved to the new Allegiant Stadium in 2020. 2012 Boise State Broncos Football Team
The 2012 Boise State Broncos football team represented Boise State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Broncos were led by head coach Chris Petersen and played their home games at Bronco Stadium. This season was Boise State's second in the Mountain West Conference. The 2012 Maaco Bowl Las Vegas was an American college football bowl game held on December 22, 2012, at Sam Boyd Stadium in Whitney, Nevada, as part of the 2012–13 NCAA Bowl season. The 21st edition of the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas began at 12:30 p.m. PST and aired on ESPN. It featured the Washington Huskies from the Pac-12 Conference (Pac-12) against the Mountain West Conference co-champion Boise State Broncos and was the final game of the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season for both teams.
