2019 LBA Finals
The 2019 LBA Finals was the championship series of the 2018–19 regular season, of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), known for sponsorship reasons as the Serie A PosteMobile, the highest professional basketball league in Italy, and the conclusion of the season's playoffs. The third placed Umana Reyer Venezia possessed home advantage (with the first two, the fifth and the seventh games at the Palasport Taliercio) and the 4th placed Banco di Sardegna Sassari contested for the title in a best-of-7 showdown, from June 10 to June 22, 2019. These were the second Finals for both Venezia and Sassari of their history. Umana Reyer Venezia won their 4th title by beating Banco di Sardegna Sassari in game 7 of the finals. Umana Reyer Venezia
S.S.P. Reyer Venezia Mestre, commonly known as Reyer Venezia or simply Reyer, is an Italian professional basketball club that is based in Venice, Veneto. S.S. Felice Scandone was an Italian professional basketball club based in Avellino, Campania. Founded in 1948, the team has been a regular in the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), the first tier of basketball in Italy, for 19 years (2000/01 to 2018/19). Keith MarQuez Haynes (born December 19, 1986) is an American-Georgian professional basketball player for Paris Basketball of the LNB Pro B. Haynes is a naturalized citizen of Georgia, and he played with the senior men's Georgian national team at EuroBasket 2011. College career A native of Irving, Texas, Haynes played college basketball at Boston College, with the Boston College Eagles (2005–2007), and at Texas–Arlington, with the Texas–Arlington Mavericks (2008–2010). Mitchell Watt (born December 14, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Reyer Venezia of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroCup. He played college basketball for the University at Buffalo, where he was an All-American and Mid-American Conference (MAC) player of the year. College career Watt, a 6'10" forward-center from Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona, came to Buffalo to play for coach Reggie Witherspoon. After cracking the starting lineup as a freshman in 2008–09, Watt established himself as one of the top defensive players in the MAC, earning the nickname sWatt. Stefano Tonut (born 7 November 1993) is an Italian professional basketball player for Olimpia Milano of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroLeague. Standing at 1.94 m (6 ft. 4 in.), he plays at the shooting guard and point guard positions. Professional career Tonut came through the youth ranks of Monfalcone and Pallacanestro Trieste, before transferring again to Monfalcone, where he made his debut for the club’s men’s team in the amateur Italian third division during the 2010–11 campaign. The 2017 Italian Basketball Cup, knows as the PosteMobile Final Eight for sponsorship reasons, was the 49th edition of Italy's national cup tournament. The competition is organised by Lega Basket for LBA clubs. The tournament was played from 16 to 19 February 2017 in Rimini. EA7 Emporio Armani Milano were the defending champions. Auxilium Pallacanestro Torino was an Italian professional basketball club that was based in Turin, Piedmont. It competed in the first division of Italian basketball, the LBA for the last time in the 2018–19 season. The club won one trophy, when it won the Italian Basketball Cup in 2018.
