2019 Kabaddi World Cup
The 2019 Kabaddi World Cup is the inaugural National (Asian) style tournament under thWorld Kabaddibanner. It was originally scheduled to be contested from 2 to 15 April 2019 in Melaka, Malaysia. However, the tournament was postponed and held from July 20-28 with less teams participating. World Cup Kabaddi 2019 World Kabaddi
formed in 2018, undertook to organise their showcase event the World Cup Kabaddi for the first time in 2019. Due to sponsorship and other technical issues, the tournament that had to be postponed from April to July the same year, with a reduced number of participating teams. The tournament was hosted by the Malaysia Kabaddi Federation (MKF)

2016 Kabaddi World Cup (Standard Style)
The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup was the third edition of the standard-style Kabaddi World Cup. It was organised by the International Kabaddi Federation and contested from 7 to 22 October 2016 in Ahmedabad, India. Twelve countries competed in the tournament. India won their 3rd World Cup by defeating Iran 38–29 in the final. Statistics Participating countries Twelve teams competed in the tournament. Pakistan was originally scheduled to participate in the tournament, but was removed due to increased tensions between India and Pakistan. The International Kabaddi Federation argued that it was "not the right time to engage with Pakistan". The Pakistani team criticized the move, arguing that it was comparable to holding a FIFA World Cup without Brazil.
