2019 Inter-Provincial Championship
The 2019 Inter-Provincial Championship, known for sponsorship reasons as the Test Triangle Inter-Provincial Championship, was the seventh edition of the Inter-Provincial Championship, a first-class cricket competition played in Ireland. It took place from 28 May to 29 August 2019. It was the third edition of the competition to be played with first-class status. North West Warriors were the defending champions. The tournament was heavily affected by rain, with none of the games being completed. Only six days of play across the eighteen that were scheduled took place. Leinster Lightning were the eventual winners of the tournament. Cricket Ireland, officially the Irish Cricket Union, is the national governing body for cricket on the island of Ireland (both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland), and oversees the national men's and women's cricket teams. Gary Craig Wilson (born 5 February 1986) is a former Irish cricketer, who is a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. He played for Ireland in Tests, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals, with his first appearance for the national side coming in 2005. Declaration And Forfeiture
In the sport of cricket, a declaration occurs when a captain declares his team's innings closed and a forfeiture occurs when a captain chooses to forfeit an innings without batting. Declaration and forfeiture are covered in Law 15 of the ''Laws of Cricket''. This concept applies only to matches in which each team is scheduled to bat in two innings; Law 15 specifically does not apply in any form of limited overs cricket. Mark Hawthorne (born 16 September 1962) is a Northern Irish cricket umpire. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI), between Ireland and Pakistan, on 28 May 2011. He stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I), between the Netherlands and Canada in the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, on 13 March 2012. In January 2018, he was named as one of the seventeen on-field umpires for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
