2019 Indiana Hoosiers Football Team
The 2019 Indiana Hoosiers football team represented Indiana University in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Hoosiers played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana, and competed as a member of the East Division of the Big Ten Conference. The team was led by third-year head coach Tom Allen. Tom Allen (American Football)
Thomas E. Allen (born March 14, 1970) is an American college football coach serving as the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers football team. He was named the 2020 Big Ten Coach of the Year and AFCA Coach of the Year. Allen previously served as the defensive coordinator at Indiana and South Florida. He spent time as an assistant at Ole Miss, Arkansas State, and Drake, among other programs. A native of New Castle, Indiana, Allen also spent six seasons as defensive coordinator and three seasons as the head football coach at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis Early life and education Allen played high school football at New Castle High School in New Castle, Indiana, where his father (also named Tom Allen) was the head football coach. Fishers, Indiana
Fishers is a city in Fall Creek and Delaware townships, Hamilton County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 76,794, and by 2019 the estimated population was 95,310. Long Snapper
In American football, the long snapper (or deep snapper) is a center on special teams whose duty is to snap the football over a longer distance, typically around 15 yards during punts, and 7–8 yards during field goals and extra point attempts. Overview During field goal and point after touchdown attempts, the snap is received by the holder, typically 7–8 yards away. During punts, the snap is delivered to the punter from 13–15 yards away. Following a punt snap, the snapper often executes a blocking assignment and then must cover the kick by running downfield and attempting to stop the opposing team's punt returner from advancing the ball in the opposite direction. The Tennessee Titans are a professional American football team based in Nashville, Tennessee. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Wesley Martin (born May 9, 1996) is an American football offensive guard. He played college football at Indiana and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Martin has also been a member of the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars. Early life and high school Martin grew up in West Milton, Ohio, and attended Milton-Union High School. Shadyside is a village in eastern Belmont County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 3,454 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Wheeling metropolitan area. Southern Jaguars Football
The Southern Jaguars are the college football team representing the Southern University. The Jaguars play in NCAA Division I Football Championship as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
