2019 Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee Special Competition
The 2019 Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee Special Competition was a special competition organized by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee in 2019 in place of the Ghana Premier League, the top association football league in Ghana. Due to the dissolution of the GFA in June 2018, the 2018 league season was abandoned, and a special competition was organized by the GFA Normalization Committee in 2019 to revive domestic football until the re-organization of the GFA. Ghana Football Association
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is a governing body of association football, based in Accra. Founded in 1957, it was dissolved with "immediate effect", according to Minister of Sport, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, on 7 June 2018, after the uncovering of a corruption scandal. In October 2019, a new president, Kurt Okraku, was elected and the association reconvened upon the completion of the work of the FIFA Normalization Committee. Mark Addo was elected vice president in November 2019. Legon Cities FC (formerly known as Wa All Stars FC) is a football club from Ghana currently based in Accra, Greater Accra. The club won the 2016 Ghanaian Premier League. History The club was founded in January 2006 through investments by Kwesi Nyantakyi in Wa, Ghana. There had been a number of First Division Clubs in the region notably Freedom Stars, Veterans and Wa United. They are a member of the Ghana Premier League. Karela United FC is a Ghanaian professional football club based in Aiyinase, Ellembele District, Western Region. The club competed in the 2019 Ghanaian Normalisation Cup Competition. Karela plays their home matches at the CAM Park. History The club was founded on Tuesday October 1, 2013, when the former Metropolitan Sporting Club changed its name to Karela United Football Club. Cape Coast Sports Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Cape Coast, Central Region, Ghana. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Ebusua Dwarfs.
