2019 Ferrari Challenge Europe
The 2019 Ferrari Challenge Europe is the 27th season of Ferrari Challenge Europe and its predecessor Ferrari Challenge Italy. The season consisted of 7 rounds, starting at the Bahrain International Circuit on February 16 and ending at the Mugello Circuit on October 26. Louis Prette Jr. (born 31 July 1998 in Monte Carlo) is a Monégasque-Italian racing driver. He currently competes in the International GT Open championship. Biography Given his father's unprecedented success in Ferrari Challenge Asia-Pacific, Prette's career began in Asia with the Asian Formula Renault Series in 2016. Having taken third in the championship the following year, he graduated to Asian Formula 3 where he finished ninth in the standings before moving into GT racing – returning to Europe and following in his father's footsteps by contesting the European Ferrari Challenge, winning the championship by 3 points. Manuela Gostner (born 19 May 1984 in Bolzano) is a racing driver from Italy. Biography A member of the Gostner family synonymous with Ferrari Challenge competition, Manuela entered the European championship with encouragement from her brother David at the end of the 2014 season. She became a regular name in the amateur Coppa Shell class over the coming years, winning two races in 2018. Having entered the 2017 GT4 European Series Northern Cup to earn an FIA Bronze Licence, she was picked up by Kessel Racing to make up an all-female entry into the European Le Mans Series, with plans to make the grid for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Adam Carroll (born 26 October 1982) is a Northern Irish professional racing driver. He last raced in the 2016–17 Formula E season for Jaguar Racing. Loris Kessel (1 April 1950 – 15 May 2010) was a racing driver from Switzerland. Biography He was born in Lugano and died in Montagnola following a long illness. He participated in six Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on 2 May 1976. He scored no championship points. In 1976, he drove a Brabham for RAM, and in 1977 he drove his own Apollon- Williams, although this car was not a success. Thomas Neubauer (born 8 June 1999) is a French professional racing driver. He is the reigning champion of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup in the Silver Cup category, having also won the Dubai 24 Hour race overall, the Nürburgring 24 Hours in class and the Ferrari Challenge Finali Mondiali all in the same year. Fabienne Wohlwend (born 7 November 1997 in Vaduz) is a female racing driver from Liechtenstein who competes in the W Series. Biography Formula 4 Wohlwend entered car racing in 2016, having been successful in junior karting in Liechtenstein and Switzerland. She debuted in the Italian F4 Championship with Aragón Racing, before a mid-season switch to DR Formula. She failed to qualify for the final at the first round in Misano (the series ran a unique format for said round after 41 cars entered a circuit with a capacity of 36) and, after the qualifying race system was abandoned, did not score any points during the course of the season - her best finish being an 11th place in the final race of the season at Monza. The Ferrari 488 (Type F142M) is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. The car replaced the 458, being the first mid-engine Ferrari to use a turbocharged V8 since the F40. It was succeeded by the Ferrari F8. The car is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, smaller in displacement but generating a higher power output than the 458's naturally aspirated engine.
