2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships was held between 1 and 3 March 2019 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. This was the second time this event was held in the city after the 1990 edition and the third time it was held in the United Kingdom, following the 2007 Edition in Birmingham, England. The three-day competition featured 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events and took place over three morning and three afternoon sessions. Bids Apeldoorn, Glasgow, Minsk and Toruń all submitted bids to host the 2019 European Indoor championships. Glasgow were chosen to host the 35th edition of the event with 9 votes ahead of Toruń with 6 votes and Apeldoorn with 1. It is 29 years since Glasgow had last hosted the championships. Dylan Borlée
Dylan Borlée (born 20 September 1992) is a Belgian sprinter who competes in the 400 metres. He is a member of the Borlée family. He holds a personal best of 45.57 seconds for the event. He was the silver medallist at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2015. He has also represented Belgium at the World Championships in Athletics and IAAF World Relays as part of the national 4×400 metres relay team. Aurel Manga (born 24 July 1992) is a French athlete specialising in hurdling. He finished sixth at the 2016 European Championships and fifth at the 2017 European Indoor Championships. Milan Trajkovic
Milan Trajković ( sr, Милан Трајковић, el, Μίλαν Τράικοβιτς, born 17 March 1992 in Surdulica) is a Serbian-born Cypriot athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. He has won two gold medals at the Games of the Small States of Europe. Biography Trajković was raised in the Serbian town of Surdulica but emigrated with his family to Cyprus at the age of nine with the end of SFR of Yugoslavia as a result of the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia. Henrik Ingebrigtsen (born 24 February 1991) is a Norwegian middle-distance runner who competes mainly in the 1500 metres. He represented Norway at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Chris O'Hare (born 23 November 1990) is a Scottish middle-distance runner who competes in the 1500 metres. He has represented Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and Great Britain at the 2016 Olympic Games. Personal life O'Hare was born and brought up in West Linton and attended Peebles High School.
