The 2019 European 10,000m Cup took place on 6 July 2019. The races took place on Parliament Hill Athletics Track in London, Great Britain. The event was held together with the annual Night of the 10,000m PB's meeting for the second successive year. Nick Goolab (born 30 January 1990) is a British distance runner. He is the former British 5k record holder, previously held the English 5k and 10k titles concurrently, and has represented Great Britain at World and European cross country and track championships. Junior career After impressing his PE teacher in a bleep test, Goolab was asked to represent his school in a cross country race, which led to him joining his local athletics club as an under-15 in 2004. Daniele Meucci (born 7 October 1985) is an Italian athlete who specialises in long-distance running, including track running, cross country and road running who won twenty medals at international level (seventeen at senior level and three at youth level). He represented Italy at the 2012 Summer Olympics, running in the 5000 metres and 10,000 metres. Christopher Thompson (born 17 April 1981) is a British long-distance runner, who won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2010 European Athletics Championships in Barcelona, on 27 July 2010 behind his compatriot Mo Farah. Prior to his 2010 medal win he had won the European U23 5000 m Championship in 2003. However he was initially unable to build on this victory, as he had substantial injury problems for a number of years. He is currently coached by Alan Storey.
