2019 Deloitte Tankard
The 2019 Deloitte Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship of Nova Scotia, was held from January 21 to 27 at the Dartmouth Curling Club in Dartmouth. The winning Stuart Thompson team represented Nova Scotia at the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada's national men's curling championship. It was held in conjunction with the 2019 Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship. Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Dartmouth ( ) is an urban community and former city located in the Halifax Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia, Canada. Dartmouth is located on the eastern shore of Halifax Harbour. Dartmouth has been nicknamed the City of Lakes, after the large number of lakes located within its boundaries. On April 1, 1996, the provincial government amalgamated all the municipalities within the boundaries of Halifax County into a single-tier regional government named the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). Philip "Phil" Crowell (born March 26, 1978 in Truro, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian curler from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He currently plays lead for Team Paul Flemming. Career Crowell won his first Deloitte Tankard in 2010 with Ian Fitzner-LeBlanc. They went 3–8 at the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier. He won the provincial championship again in 2016 with Jamie Murphy. They failed to get out of the pre-qualifying tournament after losing the final to Northwest Territories' Jamie Koe. The team returned the following season after winning the Nova Scotia provincials once again and finished 4–7 in the main event. The team won their third consecutive Deloitte Tankard in 2018 and finished 5–6 at the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier. Scott Saccary
Scott Saccary (born March 26, 1985 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian curler from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He currently plays third for Team Paul Flemming. Paul Flemming
Paul Flemming (born October 8, 1968, in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian curler. He currently skips his own team out of Halifax. Curling career Flemming's junior team was successful yet failed to ever win the Nova Scotia Junior Men's Championship, losing in the finals four times. In 1987, the team of Paul Flemming, Mike Mawhinney, Glen MacLeod, and Chris Oxner represented Nova Scotia at the Canada Winter Games in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The team earned an undefeated record in the round robin, including a victory over Ontario's Wayne Middaugh. In the semi-finals of the playoffs Flemming's team beat Saskatchewan to earn a spot in the gold medal match. The Flemming team played John Boswick of Manitoba in the final and they held a lead until Manitoba stole a point in the eighth and two in the tenth end for the win. Windsor is a community located in Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is a service centre for the western part of the county and is situated on Highway 101. Mayflower Curling Club
The Mayflower Curling Club, which was founded in 1905, since 1962 has been located at 3000 Monaghan Drive in Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality in Halifax. The club is one of the premier curling rinks in Nova Scotia, being home to the teams headed by Colleen Jones, Mark Dacey, Shawn Adams, and Heather Smith-Dacey. The club was host for the curling events during the 2011 Canada Winter Games. In 1912 the club's then-premises on Agricola Street was used as a temporary morgue for the bodies of ''Titanic'' disaster victims recovered from the North Atlantic by the Halifax-based ship the ''CS Mackay-Bennett'', as it was the only site in the city that was both sufficiently large and cold enough for the task.
