2019 Cambodian League
2019 Metfone C-League is the 35th season of the C-League. Contested by 14 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Cambodian Second League. 2019 season clubs Teams *Notes; * Kirivong Sok Sen Chey and two other teams will be invited to the 2019 season because the Cambodian Second League will not be held in 2019. FFC will announce its decision before regular season starts. Personnel and Kits Foreign players The number of foreign players is restricted to five per team. A team can use four foreign players on the field in each game, including at least one player from the AFC country. Players name in bold indicates the player is registered during the mid-season transfer window. *Notes; *Both Bati Academy and Electricite du Cambodge do not use foreign players. The Cambodian Premier League ( km, លីគកំពូលកម្ពុជា, ) is the highest professional football division in Cambodia and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Cambodian League 2. Starting with the 2022 season, the Cambodian Premier League is contested by 8 clubs and administered by the Cambodian Football League Company (CFLC). History Origins The first domestic football national championship in Cambodia was first established in 1982 during the People's Republic of Kampuchea years. The competing clubs were primarily based on the Soviet model of official amateur teams formed by ministries, the police, army and other state owned enterprises. Boeung Ket Football Club ( km, ក្លឹបបាល់ទាត់បឹងកេត, ) is a Cambodian professional football club based in Phnom Penh. It currently plays in the Cambodian Premier League, the top tier of football in the country. Founded in 2008 as Boeung Ket Rubber Field, it became Boeung Ket Angkor in 2015 and simply Boeung Ket FC in 2017. Originally based in Kampong Cham province, the club moved to play in Kandal province in 2018 and finally to the country's capital of Phnom Penh in 2019 with its current stadium, Cambodia Airways Stadium.
