Group B of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup took place from 16 to 24 June 2019. The group consisted of Bermuda, co-hosts Costa Rica, Haiti, and Nicaragua. The top two teams, Haiti and Costa Rica, advanced to the knockout stage. 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the 15th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the biennial international men's soccer championship of the North, Central American, and Caribbean region organized by CONCACAF. The tournament was primarily hosted in the United States, with Costa Rica and Jamaica hosting double-headers in the first round of matches in groups B and C, respectively. The United States were the defending champions, having won the 2017 tournament. With the abolition of the FIFA Confederations Cup, the CONCACAF Cup was annulled and the Gold Cup did not qualify the winner to a major tournament for the first time since 2009. In February 2018, CONCACAF announced that the tournament would expand to 16 teams from 12. Mechack Jérôme (born April 21, 1990) is a Haitian professional footballer who plays for Indy Eleven in the USL Championship. Club career Jérôme played for Baltimore in the Ligue Haïtienne, and then for Mirandela in the Portuguese Second Division, before being spotted by Austin Aztex head coach Adrian Heath while playing for the Haiti national team in a friendly match against the Aztex on April 28, 2010. Ricardo Adé Kat (born 21 May 1990) is a Haitian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Ecuadorian club LDU Quito and the Haiti national team. Career Adé intended to play in Thailand but he was victim of a fraud when the agent abandoned him while in Thailand. Johny Placide (born 29 January 1988) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Ligue 2 club Bastia. Born in France, he plays for and captains the Haiti national team.
