2019 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2019 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship was the 20th edition of the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, an annual international volleyball club tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Chinese Volleyball Association (CVA). The tournament was held in Tianjin, China, from 27 April to 5 May 2019. The winner of this tournament qualified to 2020 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. Qualification Following the AVC regulations, The maximum of 16 teams in all AVC events were be selected by * 1 team for the organizer * 10 teams based on the rankings of the previous championship * 5 teams from each of 5 zones (with a qualification tournament if needed) Qualified associations : EAZVA is originally allocated with 1 team, but Indonesia, OZVA, WAZVA and SEAZVA declined to enter. Tianjin Women's Volleyball Team
Tianjin Bohai Bank Volleyball Club is a professional women's volleyball club based in Tianjin that plays in the Chinese Volleyball League. Founded in 1993, the team has become a symbolic image of Tianjin Sports and the most successful women’s volleyball team in China. Tianjin Bridgestone have achieved eleven titles in the Chinese Volleyball League, three titles at the National Games of China. Also, they have five champion titles in the AVC Club Championships. Tianjin Bridgestone have been contributing players to the China women's national volleyball team. Chinese Taipei Women's National Volleyball Team
The Chinese Taipei women's national volleyball team is the women's national volleyball team of Republic of China (Taiwan). (See ''Chinese Taipei'' for team naming issue) Controlled by Chinese Taipei Volleyball Association, it represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. After 16 years since 1990, Chinese Taipei women's national volleyball team re-entered FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in 2006. To everyone's surprise, the 23-ranked team gained their first-ever victory over the host Japan (7th) on the opening day, followed by defeated South Korea (8th), Poland (9th), Kenya (11th), and Costa Rica (33rd) in the first round.
