The 2019 Arizona State Sun Devils football team represented Arizona State University in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by second-year head coach Herm Edwards and played their home games at Sun Devil Stadium. Herm Edwards
Herman Edwards Jr. (born April 27, 1954) is an American football coach and former cornerback who was most recently the head football coach at Arizona State. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons, primarily with the Philadelphia Eagles. Edwards was also a head coach in the NFL from 2001 to 2008 with the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs. Following the conclusion of his NFL coaching career, Edwards was a football analyst at ESPN from 2009 to 2017. He returned to coaching in 2018 when he was named the head coach of Arizona State's football team. As a player, Edwards is known for scoring the game-winning touchdown off a fumble recovery in 1978's Miracle at the Meadowlands. During his NFL coaching tenure, he reached the playoffs four times, three times with the Jets and once with the Chiefs. Mission Hills is a suburban neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles, California, located in the San Fernando Valley. It is near the northern junction of the Golden State Freeway (I-5) and the San Diego Freeway ( I-405). The Ronald Reagan Freeway ( SR-118) bisects the community. Dohnovan West (born May 19, 2001) is an American football center for the St Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Arizona State. Early life and high school West grew up in Mission Hills, California and attended Bishop Alemany High School. College career West was a member of the Arizona State Sun Devils for three seasons. He was named Arizona State's starting center during his freshman season. West was named second-team All-Pac-12 Conference as a junior. Following the end of the season, West announced that he would be forgoing his remaining collegiate eligibility and enter the 2022 NFL Draft. Rick Reedy High School, or RHS (locally referred to as Reedy), is a four-year public high school located in Frisco, Texas. It is part of the Frisco Independent School District. It is one of eleven high schools in the district, and is named after Rick Reedy, who served as the district's superintendent for 16 years. West Linn High School is a public high school in West Linn, Oregon, United States. It is one of two high schools in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District, the other being Wilsonville High School. Academics In 1984, West Linn High School was honored in the Blue Ribbon Schools Program, the highest honor a school can receive in the United States.
