The 2019 All-Big 12 Conference football team consists of American football players chosen as All-Big 12 Conference players for the 2019 Big 12 Conference football season. The conference recognizes two official All-Big 12 selectors: (1) the Big 12 conference coaches selected separate offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Coaches" team); and (2) a panel of sports writers and broadcasters covering the Big 12 also selected offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Media" team). 2019 Big 12 Conference Football Season
The 2019 Big 12 Conference football season represented the 24th season of Big 12 conference football, taking place during the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The season began with non-conference play on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Conference play began on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The entire schedule was released on October 18, 2018. The 2019 season eas the eighth for the Big 12 since the early-2010s conference realignment brought the Big 12 membership to its current form. As a ten–team league, the Big 12 played a nine-game round-robin conference schedule and each member played three non-conference games – one of which must be against a Power Five conference foe. The regular season was followed by a conference championship game played between the regular-season champion and the regular-season runner-up. Scott Frantz (American Football)
Scott A. Frantz (born June 7, 1996) is an American former college football player who was an offensive tackle for the Kansas State Wildcats. He earned second-team all-conference honors in the Big 12 as a senior in 2019. Frantz attended Free State High School in Lawrence, Kansas, before committing to play at Kansas State University. In 2017, Frantz publicly came out as gay, joining My-King Johnson as two of the first openly gay players in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). Later that same year, Frantz became the first openly gay college football player to play in a game for an FBS school. Neville Gallimore (born January 17, 1997) is a Canadian American football defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma. Early years Gallimore's parents were born and raised in Jamaica. He originally attended St. Patrick's High School, where he played defensive tackle. He opted to transfer to the Canada Prep Academy in Welland, Ontario, which allowed him to travel through the United States and compete against some of the top high school football programs. Ross Blacklock (born July 9, 1998) is an American football defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU. Bravvion Roy (born October 18, 1996) is an American football nose tackle for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Baylor, and was drafted by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. College career As a senior, Roy made 61 tackles including 13 tackles-for-loss, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble, seven QB hurries, and one blocked kick. He was named to the first-team All-Big 12. James Husker Lynch (born January 20, 1999) is an American football nose tackle for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Baylor. Early years Lynch grew up in Round Rock, Texas and attended Round Rock High School, playing defensive line and punter on the school's football team.
