2019 AFL Women's All-Australian Team
The 2019 AFL Women's All-Australian team represents the best-performed players of the 2019 AFL Women's season. It was announced on 2 April 2019 as a complete women's Australian rules football team of 21 players. The team is honorary and does not play any games. Initial squad The initial 40-woman All-Australian squad was announced on 21 March. had the most players selected in the initial squad with nine, and every team had at least two representatives. Nine players from the 2018 team were among those selected. Final team The final team was announced on 2 April. Premiers Adelaide had the most selections with five, and every team except had at least one representative. Alexandra Anderson (born 25 March 1994) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Anderson was part of the Brisbane team that won the AFL Women's premiership in 2021 and won the AFL Women's season seven best and fairest award. She is also a dual Brisbane best and fairest winner and was named in the 2019 AFL Women's All-Australian team. Kellie-Maree Gibson (born 9 June 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for West Coast in the AFL Women's competition. She was one of Adelaide's two marquee players in the inaugural AFL Women's season and has also played for Fremantle. Sabreena McKinnon (born Sabreena Duffy 26 March 2000) is an Australian rules footballer who played for Fremantle and Melbourne in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She was known as Sabreena Duffy during her playing career, but legally changed her family name to her foster parents name in December 2022. McKinnon was drafted by Fremantle with their second selection and seventeenth overall in the 2018 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in the four point win against Melbourne at Casey Fields in the opening round of the 2019 season. Kiara Bowers (born 16 November 1991) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Career In July 2016, Bowers was announced as Fremantle's second marquee signing ahead of the inaugural AFL Women's season. However, in August 2016, 5 months before the start of the season, Bowers ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament whilst playing for the Coastal Titans in the West Australian Women's Football League. Ebony Antonio (born 18 December 1991) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Antonio represented The Allies in the inaugural AFL Women's State of Origin match in 2017, and won AFL Women's All-Australian selection and the Fremantle fairest and best award in 2018. Jaimee Lambert (born 6 November 1992) is an Australian rules footballer playing for St Kilda in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Ashleigh Brazill (born 29 December 1989 in Campbelltown, New South Wales) is an Australian netball and AFL Women's player, playing both sports concurrently for Collingwood Football Club. She has played for the West Coast Fever and New South Wales Swifts previously in her netball career. Netball career Domestic Brazill made her domestic league debut for the New South Wales Swifts in 2010. Kerryn Peterson (née Harrington, born 2 March 1992) is an Australian rules footballer and former basketballer. Peterson currently plays for the Carlton Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW), and previously played for the Bendigo Spirit, Australian Institute of Sport, Bulleen Boomers and Adelaide Lightning in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) between 2007 and 2017. Brianna Iris Davey (born 13 January 1995) is an Australian footballer in both the Association football (soccer) and Australian rules football codes.
