2018–19 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
The 2018–19 Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup was a season long cyclo-cross competition, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup took place between 23 September 2018 and 27 January 2019, over a total of nine events. The defending champions were Mathieu van der Poel in the men's competition and Sanne Cant in the women's competition. Three of the five titles were secured at the penultimate round in France; with her fourth race victory, seven-time world champion Marianne Vos clinched her first World Cup title, leaving the round 132 points clear of her next closest competitor, compatriot Annemarie Worst. With his fourth win in five starts, British rider Tom Pidcock took the under-23 men's title for the second consecutive season – sealing a maximum possible points tally of 240 – while a second-place finish was enough for Belgium's Witse Meeussen to claim the junior men's title. The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup is a season-long competition in cyclo-cross, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). First held in the 1993–1994 season, there are currently five awards, tailored to the different categories of riders: Men Elite, Women Elite, Men Under 23, Women Under 23, and Men Junior. Tábor (; german: Tabor) is a town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 33,000 inhabitants. Kaitlin Keough ( née Antonneau; born January 1, 1992) is an American professional racing cyclist who has found success in cyclocross and road bicycle racing despite her young age, winning multiple national championships in both cyclocross and on the track. Life Keough was born in Racine, Wisconsin. In 2010, Keough finished 8th in the UCI Junior World Championships while racing for the U.S. National Team. Jingle Cross
The Jingle Cross Cyclo-cross festival, also known as Jingle Cross, is a cyclo-cross race held annually in Iowa City, Iowa, and founded and directed by John Meehan. It began as a small grassroots race with a single day race in 2004 and 60 competitors and expanded to two days in 2006. The 2007 edition was the first year with UCI events and expanded to 3 days in 2009 adding night time racing. Jingle Cross upgraded to a UCI C1 event in 2010 and soon became the largest cyclo-cross festival in North America. Jingle Cross was part of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup from 2016 to 2019.. The 2020 edition of Jingle Cross was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jingle Cross is known for its challenging and holiday themed course.
