The 2018–19 Sydney FC season was the club's 14th season since its establishment in 2004. The club participated in the A-League for the 14th time and the AFC Champions League for the fifth time. Sydney FC
Sydney Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Sydney, New South Wales. It competes in the country's premier men's competition, A-League Men, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). A-League
A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. A-League Men was established in 2004 as the A-League by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a successor to the National Soccer League (NSL) and competition commenced in August 2005. The league is currently are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), contested by twelve teams; eleven based in Australia and one based in New Zealand. Brandon O'Neill (born 12 April 1994) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a defensive midfielder for Newcastle Jets in the A-League. Club career Perth Glory Born in Perth, Western Australia, O'Neill signed a youth contract with A-League club Perth Glory in 2010 and then re-signed again in 2011. Trent Buhagiar (born 27 February 1998) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for Newcastle Jets in the A-League. Early life Born in Gosford, Buhagiar moved to and grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales, playing junior football for the Umina Eagles. Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Daniel Peter De Silva (born 6 March 1997) is an Australian professional football player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Macarthur FC in the A-League. Miloš Ninković ( sr-Cyrl, Милош Нинковић; born 25 December 1984) is a Serbian footballer who currently plays for A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers. Michael Zullo (born 11 September 1988) is an Australian professional footballer who last played as a left-back for Sydney FC of the A-League.
