The 2018–19 Russian National Football League was the 27th season of Russia's second-tier football league since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The season began on 17 July 2018 and ended on 25 May 2019. Russian National Football League
The Russian First League (russian: Первая лига, Pervaya liga), formerly called Russian First Division (russian: Первый дивизион) and Russian Football National League (FNL) (russian: Первенство Футбольной Национальной Лиги, Pervenstvo Futbol'noy Natsional'noy Ligi) is the second level of the Russian football league system. The Russian Professional Football League (PFL) used to run the division. Since 2011, it has been managed by the Football National League. The league consists of 18 clubs. After each season the two top clubs are promoted to the Premier League, and the bottom four clubs are relegated to the Russian Professional Football League. Third and fourth team play in home-and-away promotion play-offs against the 13th and 14th Premier League teams. FC Tosno
FC Tosno (russian: ФК Тосно) was a professional Russian football club based in Tosno. On 6 May 2017, Tosno won promotion to the 2017–18 Russian Premier League for the first time after securing second place in the Russian National Football League. They were relegated after one season at the top level. On 9 June 2018 it was announced that FC Tosno was dissolved because of financial problems. History ''FC Tosno'' was officially registered in 2008 by Leonid Khomenko, then director of 'FC Era'. In 2009, FC Tosno and another amateur club, 'Ruan', were merged. The name 'Ruan' was carried by the club till late 2013. Football Club Sochi (russian: Футбольный клуб Сочи, Futbolny Klub Sochi), is a Russian professional football club based in Sochi. The club is playing its home matches at the 47,000-capacity Fisht Stadium. FC Dynamo Saint Petersburg is a Russian football club from Saint Petersburg, in Northwest Russia. Founded in 1922, the club was one of the oldest in the city. It plays in the third-tier Russian Football National League 2. They were a regular in the Soviet Top League until relegation in 1963. FC Tyumen is a Russian football club based in Tyumen. The former member of the Russian Premier League now plays in the third-tier FNL 2. FC Luch Vladivostok (russian: Футбольный клуб "Луч" Владивосток) was an association football club based in Vladivostok, Russia. In 2005, Luch won the Russian First Division and played in the Premier League from 2006 to 2008. The club was called Luch-Energiya from 2003 to 2018, when it was renamed due to sponsorship from Dalenergo, an energy distribution company.
