2018–19 Ranji Trophy Group C
The 2018–19 Ranji Trophy was the 85th season of the Ranji Trophy, the first-class cricket tournament that took place in India. It was contested by 37 teams, divided into four groups, with ten teams in Group C. The group stage ran from 1 November 2018 to 10 January 2019. The top two teams from Group C progressed to the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy#Quarter-finals, quarter-finals of the competition. On 2 January 2019, Rajasthan cricket team, Rajasthan became the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals, after they beat Goa cricket team, Goa by ten wickets. Goa cricket team, Goa were relegated from Group C to the Plate Group for the next season. On the final day of the group stage, Uttar Pradesh cricket team, Uttar Pradesh qualified from Group C for the quarter-finals. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the national governing body for cricket in India. Its headquarters are situated at Cricket centre, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The BCCI is the richest governing body of cricket in the world and is part of the ''Big Three'' of international cricket, along with Cricket Australia and the England and Wales Cricket Board. Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar (born 13 February 1989) is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu and Kashmir. A right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler, Rasool is the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir team and a regular member of India A. He was bought for by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 IPL auction. The Jammu and Kashmir cricket team is a cricket team based in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, run by JKCA. It is in the Elite Group C of the Ranji Trophy. Its main home ground is the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar, and it also plays at Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground in Jammu.
