2018–19 Middlesbrough F.C. Season
The 2018–19 season was Middlesbrough's second consecutive season in the Championship in their 143rd year in existence; the club also competed in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. Season overview The 2018–19 transfer window is club manager Tony Pulis' first official summer transfer window as Middlesbrough manager. Pulis' first signing of the window was a defensive Paddy McNair, arriving from rivals Sunderland for £5 million. Bristol City star defender Aden Flint subsequently joined the club for a fee of £7 million. Sam Stubbs and Djed Spence then joined the reserves, both on free transfers, arriving from Wigan Athletic and Fulham respectively. As August emerged, Andy Lonergan joined the club on a free transfer from rivals Leeds United. Middlesbrough F
Middlesbrough ( ) is a town on the southern bank of the River Tees in North Yorkshire, England. It is near the North York Moors national park. It is the namesake and main town of its local borough council area. Until the early 1800s, the area was rural farming land. By 1830, a new industrial town and port started to be developed, driven by the coal and later ironworks. Steel production and ship building began in the late 1800s, remaining associated with the town until post-industrial decline occurred in the late twentieth century. Tomás Mejías
Tomás Mejías Osorio (born 30 January 1989) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for AD Ceuta FC. Club career Real Madrid Mejías was born in Madrid. In 2001, aged 12, he joined local Real Madrid's youth academy from neighbouring amateurs CD Coslada. He made his debut with the reserves in the 2007–08 season, playing five games for them in Segunda División B. Jordan Thomas Hugill (born 4 June 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Rotherham United. Aden Flint (born 11 July 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender. Club career Early career Flint began his career in the Central Midlands Football League with Pinxton before stepping up to the Conference North in the summer of 2008 when he joined Alfreton Town. At Alfreton, Flint worked part-time tarmacking roads. Flint spent three months of his debut season at Alfreton on loan with Northern Premier League Premier Division side Matlock Town.
