2018–19 Marquette Golden Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team represented Marquette University in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Eagles, led by fifth-year head coach Steve Wojciechowski, played their home games for the first time at Fiserv Forum as members of the Big East Conference. They finished the season 24-10, to finish for 2nd place. In the Big East tournament, they defeated St John’s in the Quarterfinals before losing to Seton Hall in the semifinals. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where they were upset by Murray State in the First Round. Previous season The Golden Eagles finished the 2017–18 season 21–14, 9–9 in Big East play to finish in a tie for sixth place. Steve Wojciechowski
Steven Michael Wojciechowski (born August 11, 1976), also known as Wojo, is an American basketball coach and former player who was the head coach at Marquette University for seven seasons. He previously played and coached under head coach Mike Krzyzewski at Duke University. He was a point guard from 1994 to 1998. Biography Playing career High school Wojciechowski is a 1994 graduate of the Cardinal Gibbons School in Baltimore, Maryland, where he played under Baltimore Catholic League head coach Ray Mullis. Rated one of the top high school players in the country, Wojciechowski was named to the East squad of the 1994 McDonald's All-American Team, playing against future Duke teammates Trajan Langdon and Ricky Price. 2018 National Invitation Tournament
The 2018 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I college men's basketball teams that were not selected to participate in the 2018 NCAA tournament. The first three rounds of the annual tournament were played on campus sites (the host team being the higher seeded team). The semifinals and championship game were held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Experimental rules In February 2018, the NCAA approved a number of experimental rule changes for use in this tournament: * Games were played in 10-minute quarters instead of 20-minute halves. The NCAA has used this timing convention for women's basketball since the 2015–16 season. * As in NCAA women's basketball, as well as the 2017 NIT, there were no "one-and-one" foul shots. Joseph Pierre Abi-Zakhour El Chartouny (born December 3, 1994) is a Canadian-Lebanese professional basketball player who is currently a free agent. Andrew Rowsey (born June 18, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UNC Asheville Bulldogs and the Marquette Golden Eagles. Early life Rowsey was born on June 18, 1994, in Lexington, Virginia. He attended Rockbridge County High School, and was named the Timesland player of year following his junior and senior seasons. The Adelaide 36ers, also known as the Sixers, are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League (NBL). The 36ers are the only team in the league representing the state of South Australia and are based in the state's capital of Adelaide. Harry Froling
Harrison Michael Froling (born 20 April 1998) is an Australian professional basketball player. He had a two-year college career in the United States playing for the SMU Mustangs (2016–17) and the Marquette Golden Eagles (2017–18). The Bradley Center (also known as the BMO Harris Bradley Center under sponsorship agreements) was a multi-purpose arena located on the northwest corner of North Vel R. Phillips Ave. and West State Streets in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It was home to the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA and the Marquette University men's basketball team.
