2021 ICC T20 World Cup
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, with the matches played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from 17 October to 14 November 2021. The West Indies were the defending champions, but were eventually eliminated in the Super 12 stage. Originally the event was scheduled to be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November 2020, but in July 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that this tournament had been postponed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Riazat Ali Shah (born 20 February 1998) is a Pakistani-born Ugandan cricketer who plays for the Uganda national cricket team. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. Early life Shah was born on 20 February 1998 in Gilgit, Pakistan, the son of Meger Nigar and Hiyadat Shah. He is an Isma'ili. He played cricket at under-19 level for Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad. Andrew Louw (umpire)
Andrew Louw (born August 18, 1987) is a Namibian cricket umpire and former player. As a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler, he represented the Namibian under-19 side at the 2006 Under-19 World Cup, and subsequently played a single first-class match for the senior Namibian national team, against KwaZulu-Natal Inland in 2009. After qualifying as an umpire, Louw made his first-class umpiring debut in April 2013, and has since officiated in limited-overs and Twenty20 matches. His father, Wynand Louw, is also an umpire, and has sat on the ICC Associates and Affiliates Umpire Panel since 2013. Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval
The Tafawa Balewa Square, (TBS) is a ceremonial ground (originally called "Race Course") in Lagos Island, Lagos. History Lagos Race Course now TBS, was a sports field that hosted horse racing, but included a section for football and ground to play cricket. The land was provided to colonial authorities by Oba Dosunmu in 1859, who thereafter, built up the surrounding areas. The course was later demolished by the government of Yakubu Gowon to make way for Tafawa Balewa Square. In its hey days, the course hosted the Empire Day parades. The horse racing track was about seven to eight furlongs or a mile. In 1960, the course was redeveloped to celebrate Nigeria's independence and the lowering of the union jack. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition.
