2018–19 Florida State Seminoles Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team represented Florida State University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seminoles were led by head coach Leonard Hamilton, in his 17th year, and played their home games at the Donald L. Tucker Center on the university's Tallahassee, Florida campus as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Seminoles finished the season with a school record twenty-nine wins as well as a school record thirteen ACC wins, finishing in fourth place. Florida State reached the finals of the ACC tournament, finishing as runner-up; they received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as a four seed, advancing to the Sweet Sixteen for the second consecutive year and the sixth time in program history. Leonard Hamilton
James Leonard Hamilton (born August 4, 1948) is an American basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach at Florida State University. He is a former head coach at Oklahoma State University, the University of Miami, and for the National Basketball Association's Washington Wizards. In his 33 years as a collegiate head coach, his teams have qualified for 12 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournaments and 11 National Invitation Tournaments, highlighted by appearances in the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight (2018) and Sweet 16 (2011, 2019, 2021) with Florida State, as well as a Sweet 16 appearance with Miami (2000). Other career benchmarks include the Big East Conference regular season championship in 2000, the ACC tournament title in 2012 and the ACC regular season championship in 2020. 2018 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2018 ACC men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York from March 6–10, 2018. It was the 65th annual edition of the tournament, and the second year in a row being held at Barclays Center. The Virginia Cavaliers entered the tournament as the top seed, with a 17–1 conference record (28–2 overall) under the guidance of Tony Bennett. UVA also began the tournament unanimously ranked number 1 in the country in both major polls. The Cavaliers defeated Louisville 75–58 and Clemson 64–58 to secure a place in the tournament championship game. The Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. The team competes in the Big East Conference and plays their home games in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Braian Alexander Angola-Rodas (born April 6, 1994) is a Colombian professional basketball player for Pınar Karşıyaka of the Basketbol Süper Ligi.
