2018–19 Copa El Salvador
The Copa El Salvador 2018–19 is the sixth staging of the Copa El Salvador football tournament and the second straight edition played since being brought back from its hiatus. This tournament started on 13 November 2018. Participants This tournament will feature all the clubs from the Salvadoran Primera División, 10 from the Segunda División, and 10 from the Tercera División. The following 32 teams qualified for the tournament: Round of 32 First leg Second leg Round of 16 The Round of 16 draw took place on February 1, 2019 . The first leg took place in the first week of February and the return leg the last week of February. Jalacatal FC, Mar y Plata and Turin FESA from Tercera División (third tier), are the lowest-ranked team still in the competition. Copa El Salvador
The Copa El Salvador is the top knock-out football tournament in El Salvador. The first edition was played in 1999, resulting champion C.D. Águila of El Salvador. From 2000 to 2006, the competition was played two more times with Atlético Balboa and Once Municipal winning the cup. After a lengthy hiatus that began in 2006, was restored in 2016 The cup is currently sponsored by Claro and thus officially known as the Copa Claro. The Cup tournament is played as a separate tournament from the league (played between First, Second and Third Division). Format Change In 2014, the tournament was briefly brought back played between Águila and FAS. However, the cup turned out to be a one-off event. Re-launch On June 16, 2016 it was announced that a new cup competition would be played during Apertura 2016 and Clausura 2017. Christian Bautista
Christian Joseph Morata Bautista (born October 19, 1981) is a Filipino singer, actor, host, and model. He was a finalist of ''Star in a Million'', a Philippine reality show aired on ABS-CBN channel, winning 4th place in the competition in 2003. Izalco
Izalco (in Nawat: ''Itzalku'') is a municipality in the Sonsonate department of El Salvador. Volcan Izalco is an icon of the country of El Salvador, a very young Volcano on the flank of Santa Ana volcano. Zacatecoluca () is the capital municipality of the La Paz Department of El Salvador. Located in Southern El Salvador, in the Rio Lempa valley, at the foot of San Vicente (Chinchotepec) Volcano. Derby Rafael Carrillo Berduo (born September 19, 1987) is a Salvadoran professional goalkeeper who plays for Cobán Imperial in Guatemala. Early life Carrillo was born in La Mirada, California and attended St. John Bosco High School. He began playing college soccer at California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he posted a 13-3-1 record in two seasons with the Toros after redshirting as a freshman. He was named a Daktronics first team All-American, a first team All-Region selection, a first team CCAA selection, and an NCAA Far West All-Tournament Team selection in 2007.
