2018–19 Atlanta Hawks Season
The 2018–19 NBA season, 2018–19 Atlanta Hawks season was the 69th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the 51st in Atlanta. On April 25, 2018, the Hawks and Mike Budenholzer mutually agreed to part ways. On May 11, 2018, the Hawks hired Lloyd Pierce as head coach. Four days later, the Hawks won the #3 pick in the 2018 NBA draft (though they later traded down to #5 on the night of the draft), as well as enter draft night with four total draft picks over a month later in June. During the offseason, the Hawks signed veteran Vince Carter, the 8th team that he has played for in his 21-year career. Travis Schlenk
Travis Schlenk (born 1976 or 1977) is the former president of the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA. Prior to joining the Hawks in May 2017, Schlenk was the assistant general manager of the Golden State Warriors, having joined that team prior to the 2004-05 season as a video scout. He has also worked as a video coordinator for the Miami Heat from 1999 to 2003, and as director of basketball operations for the University of Georgia basketball program from 1998 to 1999. During his tenure with the Warriors, Schlenk developed a reputation for evaluating talent. He has been credited for being primarily responsible for identifying Draymond Green, picked 35th in the second round of the 2012 NBA draft. Adreian DeAngleo Payne (February 19, 1991 – May 9, 2022) was an American professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Orlando Magic as well as for several European and Asian teams. Omari Spellman
Omari Spellman (born July 21, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for Anyang KGC of the Korean Basketball League (KBL). He played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats, winning a national championship in 2018. Spellman was drafted 30th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2018 NBA draft. Early life and high school career Spellman was born in Cleveland, Ohio.
