2018–19 Armenian Cup
The 2018–19 Armenian Cup was the 28th edition of the football knockout competition in Armenia. This season's cup winners earned a place in the 2019–20 Europa League. The tournament began on 19 September 2018 and ended on 7 May 2019. Gandzasar Kapan were the defending champions after defeating Alashkert on penalties in the previous season's final. Format The Armenian Football Cup this season was contested between twelve clubs over four rounds. The final was a single match which determined the cup winner, all other rounds were played over two legs. FC Alashkert
Football Club Alashkert ( hy, Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Ալաշկերտ), commonly known as Alashkert, is an Armenian football club based in the capital Yerevan, founded in 1990 in Martuni and after folding in 2000 re-founded in 2011. They currently play in the Armenian Premier League. The home stadium of the team is the Alashkert Stadium in Yerevan. The club headquarters are located on Saryan street 25, Yerevan. Although based in Yerevan they are in fact named after the historic Western Armenian town of Alashkert, now Eleşkirt in Eastern Turkey. The club is owned by Bagrat Navoyan, a businessman and founder of Bagratour LLC. Alashkert has a cooperation agreement with the Brazilian club Botafogo since August 2017. Zaven Badoyan
Zaven Badoyan ( hy, Զավեն Բադոյան, born 22 December 1989) is an Armenian football player who currently plays winger for Saudi club Afif. Club career Zaven Badoyan was born in Yerevan. He is a graduate of the local school FIMA. But he first tried his hand at several other sports, and eventually decided to pursue a football career. At 6 years of age he went to football school FIMA, where his first coach was Levon Barseghyan. At 16 years old, he was playing in the professional Armenian Premier League. In 2006, he signed a contract with Kilikia Yerevan advocated by over two seasons. In 2008, while serving in the Army, he played for Gandzasar Kapan, which came in third place at the 2008 Armenian Premier League and was the first medal of Badoyan's career. Vanadzor Football Academy
The Vanadzor Football Academy ( hy, Վանաձորի ֆուտբոլի ակադեմիա), is a modern football training school-academy located in Armenia's third largest city of Vanadzor, Lori Province. It is the 3rd-largest football academy in Armenia. Overview The construction of the academy was launched in early 2014 by the initiative of the Football Federation of Armenia and the assistance of the UEFA. On 29 October 2016, the complex was officially opened by the FFA president Ruben Hayrapetyan and the governor of Lori Province Artur Nalbandyan. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. Dzoraghbyur Training Centre
Dzoraghbyur Training Centre, is the training ground and academy base of the Armenian football club FC Ararat Yerevan. Overview Dzoraghbyur Training Centre was opened in 2007 on the grounds of the former Dzoraghbyur Sports Complex in the Dzoraghbyur village of Kotayk Province, 12 km east of the capital Yerevan. The complex was acquired by FC Ararat Yerevan earlier in 2003. In 2004, a large-scale rehabilitation and modernization process was launched. US$ 2 million was allocated by the club for the reconstruction works. The first phase of the training centre was completed in 2007.
