2018–19 America East Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2018–19 America East Conference men's basketball season will begin with practices in October 2018, followed by the start of the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Regular season conference play began in December 2018 and concluded in March 2019. The 2019 America East Conference tournament will be held from March 9–16, 2019. The Vermont Catamounts won their 3rd consecutive outright regular season championship, under the guidance of John Becker, who also received his third consecutive America East Coach of the Year Award, and fourth in total. Will Brown (basketball)
William J. Brown (born October 8, 1971) is an American basketball coach. He is the former head men's basketball coach at Albany, where he served from 2002 to 2021, guiding the Great Danes to five NCAA tournament appearances. Playing career Born in Miller Place, New York, Brown played collegiate basketball at Dowling College, starting for three years. He finished his career as the school's all-time leader in assists, three-point field goals and free-throw percentage, and is the only player in Dowling history to score 1,000 points and tally 500 assists. Coaching career Brown began his coaching career at The College of Saint Rose, serving as an assistant coach for three seasons. He then became the head coach at Sullivan County Community College, compiling a record of 90–10 in three seasons. Ryan Odom
Robert Ryan Odom (born July 11, 1974) is an American men's college basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the VCU Rams men's basketball team. He was previously the head coach of the Lenoir–Rhyne Bears, the UMBC Retrievers, and the Utah State Aggies. Odom served as the interim head coach of the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team from January 6 until March 15, 2015. In this capacity, he replaced Alan Major when Major went on a medical leave of absence to deal with chronic health issues. After one season as head coach at Lenoir–Rhyne, Odom was head coach at UMBC from 2016 to 2021. In the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, UMBC upset no. 1 seed Virginia and became the first no. 16 seed to beat a no. 1 seed in NCAA Division I men's tournament history. Northeastern Huskies Men's Basketball
The Northeastern Huskies men's basketball team represents Northeastern University, located in Boston, Massachusetts, in NCAA Division I basketball competition. The team has competed in the Colonial Athletic Association since 2005 and has won two tournament titles, having previously played in the America East Conference, where they won seven tournament titles. Pat Duquette
Pat Duquette (born November 4, 1970) is the head men's basketball coach at UMass Lowell. He is the first coach in the school's Division I history, as the River Hawks joined the America East Conference for the 2013–14 season. Biography Coaching career After graduation from Williams College in 1993, where he captained the men's basketball team, Duquette interned with the New Jersey Nets while simultaneously coaching at Centenary College of New Jersey.
