The 2018 Cricket Pitch Fixing scandal refers to the alleged doctoring of the pitch, a central strip of the playing field, in the home Test cricket, test matches of the Sri Lanka national cricket team, Sri Lankan cricket team at the Galle International Stadium, as well as during the home test matches of the India national cricket team, Indian cricket team. Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played at international level between teams representing full member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC). A match consists of four innings (two per team) and is scheduled to last for up to five days. In the past, some Test matches had no time limit and were called Timeless Tests.
