The 2018 Wyoming Senate election was held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, with the primary election held on August 21, 2018. Voters in the 15 odd-numbered districts of the Wyoming State Senate elected their representatives. A write-in candidate is a candidate whose name does not appear on the ballot but seeks election by asking voters to cast a vote for the candidate by physically writing in the person's name on the ballot. Depending on electoral law it may be possible to win an election by winning a sufficient number of such write-in votes, which count equally as if the person was formally listed on the ballot. Writing in a name that is not already on the election ballot is considered a practice of the United States. However, some other jurisdictions have allowed this practice. Drew Perkins
Drew A. Perkins (born March 21, 1956) is an American politician serving in the Wyoming Senate from the 29th district as a member of the Republican Party. He served as President of the Senate from 2019 to 2021. Perkins was born in Boise, Idaho, and educated at Brigham Young University, Southeastern University, and the University of Wyoming. He entered politics in the 2000s with unsuccessful campaigns for a seat on the Natrona County Commission, but was appointed to the commission in 2003. Jeff Wasserburger (born January 8, 1961) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Wyoming State Senate, representing the 23rd district since January 5, 2015. Dennis Dean "Bo" Biteman (born October 23, 1978) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Wyoming Senate representing District 21 since January 7, 2019. He previously served in the Wyoming House of Representatives representing District 51 from 2017 to 2019. Elections 2016 Biteman challenged incumbent state Senate Majority Leader Rosie Berger in the Republican primary and defeated Berger with 56% of the vote. John M. Hastert (born November 20, 1958) is a former Democratic member of the Wyoming Senate, he represented the 13th district from 2007 to 2019.
