2018 World Series Of Poker
The 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the 49th annual tournament, and took place from May 30 to July 17 at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. There was a record 78 bracelet events. The $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event began on July 2 and concluded on July 15. The Main Event, as well as the Big One for One Drop, were again streamed in their entirety on ESPN and Poker Central. The 2018 World Series of Poker featured the announced retirement of ten-time bracelet winner and Poker Hall of Fame member Doyle Brunson from tournament poker, an announcement that came after he registered for the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship (Event 23). Brunson made the final table of the event and finished in sixth place. Schedule changes The World Series of Poker introduced the Big Blind Ante to eight events. Rio All-Suite Hotel And Casino
The Rio is a hotel and casino near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, Paradise, Nevada, United States. It is owned by Dreamscape Companies LLC and operated by Eldorado Resorts, Caesars Entertainment. It includes a casino and 2,520 suites. It features a Brazilian theme based on Rio Carnival. The Rio opened on January 15, 1990, with a casino and 424 suites. It was the first all-suite hotel in the Las Vegas Valley. It was owned by Anthony Marnell and built by Marnell Corrao Associates. The property struggled during its first two years because of its off-Strip location, but it would eventually thrive. The Rio's success prompted a number of hotel expansions in the 1990s. Scott Seiver (born April 14, 1985 in Columbus, Ohio) is a professional poker player from Cold Spring Harbor, New York, now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada who won the 2008 World Series of Poker $5,000 No Limit Hold'em event and is the winner of the $25,100 buy-in High Roller event at the 2010 L.A. Poker Classic. On April 29, 2015 Seiver became the 9th player in GPI history to be ranked #1. Michael Mizrachi
Michael David Mizrachi (born January 5, 1981) is an American professional poker player who won the 2010, 2012 and 2018 World Series of Poker $50,000 Players Championship. Mizrachi also has two World Poker Tour titles, and he finished 5th in the Main Event of the 2010 World Series of Poker. In January 2013, Mizrachi signed on as a team pro member with Lock Poker. The Poker Players Championship is a $50,000 buy-in event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Added in the 2010, it replaced the former $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Championship as the highest-stakes mixed-games event. It is considered among the most prestigious events on offer at the WSOP. History In 2006, the inaugural event was called the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. Jeff Lisandro
Jeffrey Lisandro (born in Perth) is an Italo-Australian professional poker player, now residing in Salerno, Italy. Lisandro is known as a cash game specialist, but he also plays often in the poker tournament circuit and is regarded as one of the premier Seven Card Stud players in the world. At the 2009 World Series of Poker, he became the first person to win a World Series title in all three seven-card stud disciplines in the same year, when he won tournaments in Stud High, Stud High-Low, and Razz, earning him the Player of the Year title.
