Silverstone Rallycross Circuit
Silverstone is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England. It is about from Towcester on the former A43 main road, from the M1 motorway junction 15A and about from the M40 motorway junction 10, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Banbury. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 2,176. The A43 now bypasses to the south-east of the village. The village's name probably means, 'farm/settlement of Saewulf/Sigewulf'. The Silverstone Circuit, the current home of the British Grand Prix, is located nearby; it straddles the Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire border. The village is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as ''Silvestone'' and ''Selvestone''. Parish church Silverstone had a chapel by AD 1200. Tommy Rustad
Tommy Rustad (born 3 September 1968, in Oslo) is a Norwegian auto racing driver. He currently drives in the FIA European Rallycross Championship and occasionally in the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Tommy is the son of former well known Norwegian racer Ola Rustad (1919-1999). Racing career Early Rallycross Years Rustad started his motor sport career in karting before racing in the Norwegian Rallycross Championship, winning the so-called ''Supernasjonal'' title for six years in a row between 1987 and 1992. On 14 June 1992 he claimed overall victory in the Irish round of the European Rallycross Championship at Mondello Park, racing one of the two 650bhp strong Ford RS200 Group B cars of his compatriot and mentor Martin Schanche. Jérôme Grosset-Janin (born 19 June 1984) is a French rallycross driver from Sallanches, Haute-Savoie. Biography Grosset-Janin began his motorsport career in ice racing in 2003, and competed in the 2005 Andros Trophy, where he secured 14 podiums from 14 races. The following year, at age 22, he switched to rallying in the French Asphalt Rally Championship, finishing third to become the youngest driver to win a rally and reach the podium. In 2009, Grosset-Janin returned to rallycross, finishing third in the French Rallycross Championship in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, he finished runner-up and in 2013 he was crowned French Rallycross Champion. The Hyundai i20 WRC is a World Rally Car built by Hyundai for use from the 2014 World Rally Championship. It is based on the Hyundai i20 subcompact car, and was unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The launch of the i20 marks Hyundai's return to the World Rally Championship after a ten-year absence. The car made its first competitive appearance at the 2014 Rallye Monte Carlo.
