The 2018 Women's Euro Beach Soccer Cup was the third edition of the ''Euro Beach Soccer Cup#Women's tournaments, Women's Euro Beach Soccer Cup'', an annual European beach soccer championship for women's national teams, organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW). The event was revealed on 28 March 2018. Six nations took part in a three-day competition, hosted in the same location as the 2017 Women's Euro Beach Soccer Cup, 2017 edition, Nazaré, Portugal, Nazaré, Portugal, between 6 and 8 July, alongside stage 2 of the men's 2018 Euro Beach Soccer League. England women's national beach soccer team, England were the defending champions, but failed to progress pass the group stage, ultimately finishing in fourth place. Nazaré, Portugal
Nazaré () is a Portuguese town and municipality located in the Oeste region, in the historical province of Estremadura, and in the Leiria District. The municipality has a population of 14,889 in an area of 82.43 km2, while the town itself has around 10,000 inhabitants. A beach is a landform alongside a body of water which consists of loose particles. The particles composing a beach are typically made from rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, etc., or biological sources, such as mollusc shells or coralline algae. Group A
Group A is a set of motorsport regulations administered by the FIA covering production derived vehicles intended for competition, usually in touring car racing and rallying. In contrast to the short-lived Group B and Group C, Group A vehicles were limited in terms of power, weight, allowed technology and overall cost. Group A was aimed at ensuring numerous entries in races of privately owned vehicles. María José Pons Gómez (born 8 August 1984), commonly known as Mariajo, is a Spanish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Catalonia women's national football team.
