The 2018 Web.com Tour was the 29th season of the Web.com Tour, the official development tour to the PGA Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2018 season. Im Sung-jae
Im Sung-jae ( ko, 임성재; born 30 March 1998), also known as Sungjae Im, is a South Korean professional golfer. Im won twice and was Player of the Year on the 2018 Web.com Tour. He was Rookie of the Year for the 2018–19 PGA Tour, and got his first PGA Tour victory at The Honda Classic in March 2020. Professional career Im turned professional in 2015. In 2016 and 2017 he played on the Japan Golf Tour, his best finish being joint runner-up in the 2017 Mynavi ABC Championship. In 2017 he finished 12th in the tour money list and 5th in the scoring average. He played a number of tournaments on the Korean Tour, his best finish being joint runner-up in the 2017 T-up Gswing Mega Open. Julián Oscar Etulain (born 21 June 1988) is an Argentine professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Before turning professional in 2008, Etulain had won the Argentine Amateur Championship and had represented Argentina at a number of events including the 2008 Eisenhower Trophy. Professional career In 2009, Etulain was named as the Tour de las Américas Rookie of the Year in his first full season as a professional golfer. Following this, he had a successful 2010 with two wins on the Tour de las Américas and finishing at the top of the Tour de las Americas Order of Merit. Cameron Davis (golfer)
Cameron Hugh Davis (born 21 February 1995) is an Australian professional golfer. He had a successful amateur career, winning the Australian Amateur and the individual and team events at the Eisenhower Trophy. He has played regularly on the PGA Tour since 2018, and won the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic. Amateur career Davis had a successful amateur career. In 2015 he won the Australian Amateur and was a runner-up in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, behind Jin Cheng. In 2016 he was part of the Australian team who won the Eisenhower Trophy in Mexico and he was also the individual winner. The Australian team won the team event by 19 strokes and Davis finished 2 strokes ahead of fellow-Australian Curtis Luck in the individual event. The BMW Charity Pro-Am is a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. It is currently played at Thornblade Club (host course) in Greer, South Carolina and The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina. From 1992 to 2000, the event was played at Verdae Greens Golf Club in Greenville. Stephan Jäger (born 30 May 1989), also spelled as Stephan Jaeger, is a German professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has won six tournaments on the second tier Korn Ferry Tour in the United States. Amateur career Jäger played collegiate golf at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He turned professional in 2012. Professional career Jäger qualified for the 2015 U.S. Open where he shot 74–80 to miss the cut. José de Jesús Rodríguez Martínez (born 22 January 1981) is a Mexican professional golfer who currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. Rodríguez has previously played on the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and the Tour de las Américas. Background Rodríguez grew up in poverty in Irapuato, Mexico. He was one of seven siblings who slept shoulder-to-shoulder on the dirt floor of their one-room, bathroom-less adobe home. At the age of 12, he dropped out of school and began caddying full-time at Club de Golf Santa Margarita. That club is where he learned to golf. At the age of 15, Rodríguez crossed into the United States illegally by crossing the Rio Grande river. Eric Axley
Eric Allen Axley (born April 22, 1974) is an American professional golfer. Career Axley was born in Athens, Tennessee. He turned professional in 1997. He is one of the few natural left-handers to win on the Web.com Tour and PGA Tour. In 2006, Axley won the Valero Texas Open, claiming his first PGA Tour win. After a poor 2009 season, Axley lost his PGA Tour playing rights. Axley divided his time among the NGA Hooters Tour, eGolf Professional Tour, Web.com Tour, and PGA Tour. In 2014, Axley tried to play his way back to the PGA Tour through Monday qualifying and past champion status.
