2018 Waratah Cup
The 2018 Waratah Cup was the 16th season of Football NSW's knockout competition. The Preliminary Rounds are now a part of the FFA Cup competition. The 5 winners from the FFA Cup preliminary Seventh Round qualified for the Waratah Cup. The Cup was won by APIA Leichhardt Tigers, their 5th title. Format Preliminary rounds New South Wales clubs, other than Northern NSW and A-League clubs, participate in the FFA Cup via the preliminary rounds. The competition is for all Senior Men's teams of the National Premier Leagues NSW, NPL 2, NPL 3, NSW State League, as well as Association teams which applied to participate. A total of 169 clubs entered into the competition, and the five qualifiers were: Elimination Playoff Two of the qualifiers played-off to reduce the remaining teams to 4 teams, with the match played on 13 June. APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC
APIA Leichhardt Football Club, also known simply as APIA (Associazione Poli-sportiva Italo Australiana), is a semi-professional soccer club based in the suburb of Leichhardt, New South Wales, Leichhardt in Sydney, Australia. NSW State League
The NSW League Three Men is a defunct regional Australian semi-professional association football league comprising teams from New South Wales. The league was sits at Level 4 on the New South Wales league system (Level 5 of the overall Australian league system). The competition is administered by Football NSW, the governing body of the sport in the southern region of the state (the northern region governed by Northern NSW Football). At the conclusion of the 2019 season it was announced that the NSW State League would become the NPL NSW 4. and in 2022 seasons onwards, the league name change again from "National Premier League 4 NSW" to "Football NSW League Three". Lambert Park (Leichhardt)
Lambert Park is a purpose-built soccer stadium in Leichhardt, New South Wales, Australia. It is the home ground of the APIA Leichhardt, and the Sydney FC Youth who participate in the National Youth League. The stadium is peculiar in that it runs east to west, rather than north to south. The stadium has a nominal capacity of 7000, with 2000 seated in two main stands on either side of the playing field. In the southern of these stands there are dressing room facilities, a social club with views of the game, press facilities and media facilities. The northern stand runs the full length of the playing field, seating around 1200 spectators in 8 rows. This stand is regularly full for New South Wales Premier League encounters, with attendances at the ground in the last few seasons ranging from 800 to 3000 spectators. Marconi Stallions Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Fairfield, Sydney, New South Wales. The club has been crowned Australian champion four times. The Stallions are the soccer team of Club Marconi, a social and sporting club founded in 1958 by immigrants from Italy who settled in Sydney's western suburbs.
