2018 Vuelta A San Juan
The 2018 Vuelta a San Juan was a road cycling stage race that took place in the San Juan Province of Argentina between 21 and 28 January 2018. The race was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2018 UCI America Tour, and was the 36th edition of the Vuelta a San Juan. Initially, the race was won by Gonzalo Najar, who was later disqualified for a failed doping test. The result was then given to the rider originally in second place, Óscar Sevilla. 2018 UCI America Tour
The 2018 UCI America Tour is the fourteenth season of the UCI America Tour. The season began on October 23, 2017, with the Vuelta a Guatemala and ended on August 19, 2018. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI America Tour cycling jersey. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Giacomo Nizzolo
Giacomo Nizzolo (born 30 January 1989) is an Italian racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Leopard Trek (2011–18) Nizzolo took his first win at UCI World Tour level in August 2012, on stage 5 of the Eneco Tour. He launched his sprint away from the finish, and was almost passed on the line by Jürgen Roelandts (), who thought he had won, but the photo-finish would prove that Nizzolo was the victor. He won the Points classification in the Giro d'Italia two years in a row in 2015 and 2016 without a stage win. In 2018 Nizzolo was named as a rider in the Vuelta a España, he finished on the podium on 3 different stages. Jelle Wallays
Jelle Wallays (born 11 May 1989) is a Belgian road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Jelle Wallays is the brother and nephew of racing cyclists Jens Wallays and Luc Wallays. He was coached by his uncle in his early racing career and competed in his first race at the age of 14. The start of his first year as a professional in 2011 was marred by a knee injury, however a few weeks after returning to competition he took the best result of his season at the Belgian National Road Race Championships, where he finished third behind Philippe Gilbert and Gianni Meersman. The musical term alto, meaning "high" in Italian (Latin: ''altus''), historically refers to the contrapuntal part higher than the tenor and its associated vocal range. In 4-part voice leading alto is the second-highest part, sung in choruses by either low women's or high men's voices. Ariel Maximiliano Richeze Araquistain (born 7 March 1983) is an Argentine professional cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2006 until January 2023. Richeze won the silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games (Men's Team Pursuit). His brothers Roberto, Mauro and Adrián are also cyclists. Biography Richeze was born in Bella Vista. Ryan William Mullen (born 7 August 1994) is an Irish professional bicycle racing, racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Individual Time Trial
An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). ITTs are also referred to as "the race of truth", as winning depends only on each rider's strength and endurance, and not on help provided by teammates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream.
