2018 UAE Super Cup
The 2018 UAE Super Cup was the 11th professional and 18th overall edition of the UAE Super Cup, held at the 30 June Stadium, Cairo on 25 August 2018, between Al Ain, winners of both the 2017–18 UAE Pro-League and 2017–18 UAE President's Cup, and Al Wahda, winners of the 2017–18 UAE League Cup. Al Wahda won the game 4–3 on penalties. UAE Super Cup
The UAE Super Cup ( ar, كأس السوبر الإماراتي), is the curtain raiser of the United Arab Emirates football season. It is played between the previous season's UAE League, Pro-League winners and UAE President's Cup, President's Cup Winners. The first edition was played on 14 September 2008. History From 2008 to 2021, it was known as the Etisalat Super Cup and Arabian Gulf Super Cup for sponsorship reasons. Winners Notes 1. Edition 1995, 1996 played as league system. 2. Sebastián Lucas Tagliabúe (born 22 February 1985) is a professional footballer who plays for Al-Wahda. Born in Argentina, he represents the United Arab Emirates national team. Club career Tagliabúe started his association football career at Primera C side Club Atletico Colegiales from 2003 to 2008. He helped win the Primera C (fourth tier) championship with Colegiales. He was signed abroad by Everton from the Primera División de Chile. Tagliabúe made his debut in a 5–5 draw against Deportes La Serena where he scored a hat-trick. Amer Abdul Rahman Abdullah Hussein Al Hamadi ( ar, عامر عبد الرحمن عبد الله حسين الحمادي; born 3 July 1989), commonly known as Amer Abdulrahman, is an Emirati footballer who plays as a central midfielder for the UAE national team.
