2018 Tro-Bro Léon ...
The 2018 Tro-Bro Léon was a one-day road cycling race that took place on 15 April 2018. It was the 35th edition of the Tro-Bro Léon and was rated as a 1.1 event as part of the 2018 UCI Europe Tour. It was also the eighth event of the 2018 French Road Cycling Cup. The race was won by Christophe Laporte (). Teams Nineteen teams were invited to take part in the race. These included two UCI WorldTeams, eleven UCI Professional Continental teams and six UCI Continental teams. 2018 UCI Europe Tour
The 2018 UCI Europe Tour was the fourteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2018 season began on 25 January 2018 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Porreres, Felanitx, Ses Salines, Campos and ended on 16 October 2018 with the Nationale Sluitingsprijs. French rider Nacer Bouhanni (), who scored 1,124 points in the 2017 UCI Europe Tour, 2017 edition, is the defending champion from the 2017 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Christophe Laporte (born 11 December 1992 in La Seyne-sur-Mer) is a French cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Laporte was a member of from 2014 to 2021. He was named in the Team Cofidis start list for the Tour de France for seven consecutive years between 2015 and 2021, completing all but one of them. In 2022 he joined Jumbo-Visma, among the most powerful teams in cycling, and in his first major stage race with the team led the podium sweep with Primož Roglič and Wout Van Aert on stage 1 of Paris–Nice. In the 2022 Tour de France, he was a key teammate of leader Jonas Vingegaard, was instrumental in helping the team win three different jerseys, and also won stage 19 at Cahors. This was a rare win in that he attacked after the sprint trains were already operating at top speed, and actually held off the remaining elite sprinters long enough to win the stage.
