2018 Texas Tech Red Raiders Baseball Team
The 2018 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represented Texas Tech University during the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Red Raiders played their home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The team was led by 6th year head coach Tim Tadlock. Previous season The 2017 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team finished the regular season with a 42–13 (16–8) record and tied with 2017 TCU Horned Frogs baseball team, TCU for first place in the Big 12 Conference standings. The Red Raiders were eliminated from the 2017 Big 12 Conference baseball tournament in game 3 after a 7–12 loss to 2017 West Virginia Mountaineers baseball team, West Virginia. Tim Tadlock
Tim Tadlock (born December 21, 1968) is a collegiate baseball coach and former player. He served as head coach of the Grayson Vikings representing Grayson County College (GCC) (1997–2005) and the Texas Tech Red Raiders representing Texas Tech University (2013–present). Tadlock guided the Grayson Vikings to back-to-back National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I World Series titles in 1999 and 2000. In 2014, Tadlock led his alma mater to their first College World Series appearance and received the Skip Bertman Award, presented to the college baseball coach of the year by the College Baseball Foundation. Early years Tadlock was a two-time all-district baseball player while attending Denton High School in Denton, Texas. Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. UTRGV Baseball Stadium
UTRGV Baseball Stadium, originally Edinburg Stadium, is a stadium in Edinburg, Texas. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home of the UTRGV Vaqueros of college baseball. It was also the home to the Edinburg Roadrunners of the Texas–Louisiana League/Central Baseball League/United League Baseball. The Roadrunners disbanded before the 2014 season. The stadium, which opened in 2001, holds 4,000 people, expandable to 14,000-16,000 for concerts and other special events. It includes a 17.8' x 13.6' diamondvision scoreboard and luxury boxes. In 2015, the stadium received major upgrades due to the school officially becoming the owner. New rails and padding for the dugouts were added. The "double wall" fence was cut down to make the park more hitter-friendly. UTRGV Vaqueros Baseball
The Texas–Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros baseball team, or the UTRGV Vaqueros, is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, an NCAA Division I institution with several campuses in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, United States. UTRGV was formally founded in 2013 with the announced merger of the University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA), with its main campus in Edinburg, and the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) in Brownsville, with the merged university beginning operation in the 2015–16 school year. Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium (informally Wolff Stadium) is a stadium in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the San Antonio Missions Minor League Baseball team of the Texas League. The UTSA Roadrunners baseball team also plays some home games at the stadium. The stadium is named for Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, who is a former Texas legislator and San Antonio councilman and mayor. The Wolff is located about to the west of Downtown San Antonio. The UTSA Roadrunners baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team representing University of Texas at San Antonio in NCAA Division I college baseball. New Mexico State Aggies Baseball
The New Mexico State Aggies baseball team represents New Mexico State University, which is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Aggies are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in the Western Athletic Conference. They began competing in Division I in 1962 and joined the Western Athletic Conference in 2006. The New Mexico State Aggies play all home games on campus at Presley Askew Field. The Aggies have played in four NCAA Tournaments. Over their 15 seasons in the Western Athletic Conference, they have won two WAC regular season titles and one WAC Tournament.
