The 2018 Tennessee Volunteers baseball team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Volunteers played their home games at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Tony Vitello (born October 9, 1978) is an American college baseball coach and former infielder. Vitello played college baseball at the University of Missouri from 2001 to 2002 under head coach Tim Jamieson and was the former lead RISP strategist for the Washington Nationals. He was announced as the new Tennessee coach on June 7, 2017. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field.
