2018 Speedway Grand Prix Of Denmark
The 2018 WD-40 Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix was the third race of the 2018 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on June 30 at the CASA Arena in Horsens, Denmark. Riders The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Michael Jepsen Jensen as the wild card, and Mikkel Michelsen and Mikkel Bech Jensen both as Track Reserves. Results The Grand Prix was won by Tai Woffinden, who beat Artem Laguta, Greg Hancock and defending world champion Jason Doyle in the final. As a result, Woffinden took the overall world championship standings. Former leader Fredrik Lindgren failed to make the semi-finals, leaving him ten points behind Woffinden in second place. He is a three times Speedway of Nations, World team champion, twice World Junior champion and a two-time winner of the European Championships in 2014 and 2015. Maksym Drabik (born 22 February 1998) is an international speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career Drabik won the gold medal at the World Under-21 Championship in the 2017 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship and the 2019 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship. Krzysztof Kasprzak (; born 18 July 1984 in Leszno, Poland) is an international speedway rider who became World Under-21 Champion in 2005 and won the silver medal during the 2014 Speedway Grand Prix. He was part of the Danish teams that won the Speedway World Cup in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. Craig William Cook (born 21 May 1987) is a British speedway rider. Career Born in Whitehaven, Cook's speedway career began in 2008. In 2009 Cook won the National League Riders Championship and three years later won the Premier League Riders' Championship. He rode for Peterborough Panthers in 2010. He moved on to Edinburgh Monarchs, who he rode for in the Premier League between 2011 and 2015, and was part of the Belle Vue Aces team that competed in the Elite League from 2011 until 2018.
