2018 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
The 2018 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain was a multi-event, one-make motor racing championship held across England and Scotland. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, competing in Porsche 911 GT3 cars that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It formed part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. The 2018 season was the 16th Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain season, commencing on 8 April at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and finished on 30 September at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after sixteen races at eight meetings. 2018 British Touring Car Championship
The 2018 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (commonly abbreviated as BTCC) was a motor racing championship for production-based touring cars held across England and Scotland. It was sponsored by Dunlop. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded amateur drivers competing in highly modified versions of family cars which were sold to the general public and conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2018 season was the 61st British Touring Car Championship season and the eighth season for cars conforming to the Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) technical specification. The 2018 season also marked the 60th anniversary since the series’ introduction. The thirty races held during the season saw seventeen different drivers win a race, setting a new championship record. Tio Ellinas
Eftihios "Tio" Ellinas (born 27 January 1992 in Larnaca, Cyprus) is a Cypriot race car driver. Ellinas began racing go-karts at the age of seven, and from 2003 - 2009 won 10 kart racing championships in Cyprus, in 2005 winning the ROK Cup International Final. He was the winner of Grand Prix Shootout in the UK in 2009 competing against 50 other top young drivers from all over the world. In 2010, he competed in the MSA Dunlop Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain racing with the JTR Team. He won three races and finished fourth in the championship, the highest placing for a novice driver since Jenson Button in 1998, earning him "Rookie Of The Year" honors. Samuel Brabham is an Australian racing driver. Brabham is a third-generation racing driver; he is the son of David Brabham, nephew to Geoff Brabham, Gary Brabham, Mike Thackwell, and the grandson of three time Formula One World Champion Sir Jack Brabham. Esmee Anna Hawkey (born 2 March 1998 in Chislehurst) is a British racing driver who currently competes in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, driving a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo for T3 Motorsport. Biography Inspired by her father, Hawkey began racing karts at the age of ten. She had previously attended ballet and tap dancing classes, but chose to leave both in order to pursue a career in motorsport. Hawkey moved up to the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2014. Her first season would consist of a part-time schedule as a result of external commitments, and would score a best result of two 15th places in the six races she contested. William Bratt (born 13 April 1988 in Oxford) is a British racing driver. He previously competed in the British Touring Car Championship with Rob Austin Racing. Motorbase Performance is a British motor racing team, founded in 2004 by former Production Saloon racer David Bartrum. They are best known for competing in the British Touring Car Championship. Daniel Harper (born 8 December 2000) is a racing driver from Northern Ireland. He is currently competing as part of the BMW Junior Team and is an ex Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain champion. Career Starting his racing career aged six, Harper was a multiple champion in both quad bike and karting competition in his early years, before switching to junior rallying and winning three events in the Ireland Junior 1000 Rally Challenge in 2015. Harper made the transition to circuit racing the following year after winning the Ginetta Junior Scholarship and with it a fully-funded season in the Ginetta Junior Championship for 2016.
