2018 Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC Season
The 2018 Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC season was the club's nineteenth season of existence, and their eighth consecutive season in the United Soccer League, the second tier of American soccer. Pittsburgh also competed in the U.S. Open Cup. The season covered the period from October 15, 2017 to the beginning of the 2019 USL season. Bob Lilley took charge of his first season as Riverhounds manager, jumping over from Rochester Rhinos after that club went on hiatus. In his 20th season as a professional manager, Lilley continued a personal record of his teams never failing to qualify for their respective playoffs. Pittsburgh finished in third place in the Eastern Conference, the club's best regular season performance since 2010, and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in three years. The Riverhounds were eliminated in the conference quarterfinals by Bethlehem Steel FC, who prevailed after an eight-round penalty shootout. Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC is an American professional soccer team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1999 and beginning play in 1999, the club plays in the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. Since 2013, the Riverhounds have played their home games at the 5,000-seat Highmark Stadium, a soccer-specific stadium located in Station Square. Their current head coach is Bob Lilley. Saint Lucian international David Flavius currently holds the club records for most appearances and goals which he set over his eight seasons with the Riverhounds between 1999 and 2006. Andrew Lubahn (born September 10, 1991) is an American soccer player who currently plays for New York Cosmos in the National Independent Soccer Association. Career College Professional Lubahn played college soccer at Wake Forest University between 2010 and 2013. Lubahn currently sits in the top 10 for goals scored at Wake Forest University. Hugh Roberts (born September 27, 1992) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Monterey Bay F.C. in the USL Championship. Youth and college College Roberts played college soccer at George Mason University between 2010 and 2013. William Emmanuel Jordan Dover (born December 14, 1994) is a footballer who plays as a defender. Born in Canada, he represents Guyana internationally. Early life He played youth soccer with Ajax SC. The George Washington Colonials men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., United States. Calgary Foothills Football Club (CFFC) is a Canadian soccer club based in Calgary, Alberta, that competes in USL League Two (USL2).
