2018 OEC Kaohsiung
The 2018 OEC Kaohsiung was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the seventh edition of the tournament which was part of the 2018 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Ernests Gulbis
Ernests Gulbis (, born 30 August 1988, nicknamed "Lord", "The Gull" or "Ernie") is a Latvian professional tennis player. In 2008, Gulbis won his first ATP Tour doubles title at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships, teaming with Rainer Schüttler, and in 2010, he won his first ATP Tour singles title in the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, Delray Beach, defeating Ivo Karlović in the final. In total, Gulbis has six ATP titles to his name. His best performance at a Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam is reaching the semifinals of the 2014 French Open – Men's singles, 2014 French Open. Hsu Yu-hsiou ( zh, 許育修; born 2 April 1999) is a Taiwanese tennis player. Hsu has a career high ATP singles ranking of 331 achieved on 7 March 2022. is a Japanese tennis player. He has won one ATP singles title, and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 36 on 9 October 2017. Akira Santillan
is a Japanese born, Australian tennis player. Early life Santillan was born in Tokyo to a Japanese mother and a South African father of Spanish descent. He lived the first 8 years of his life in Japan before his family relocated to the Gold Coast, Australia and became citizens. He played much of his junior tennis at the Gold Coast before moving to Brisbane to join the national academy program at the Queensland Tennis Centre. Kwon Soon-woo ( ko, 권순우; born 2 December 1997) is a South Korean professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 52 ranking by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he first achieved in November 2021. Frederico Ferreira "Kiko" Silva (born 18 March 1995) is a Portuguese tennis player who currently plays at ITF Men's Circuit and ATP Challenger Tour. Tseng Chun-hsin (; born 8 August 2001), also known as Jason Tseng, is a Taiwanese tennis player. Tseng is currently the highest ranked Taiwanese player on the ATP tour. He has a career high ATP singles ranking of World No. 83, achieved on 8 August 2022. He was also the ITF junior No. 1, first reaching this ranking on 11 June 2018 after winning the French Open Boys' Singles.
