2018 Internationaux De France
The 2018 Internationaux de France was the sixth event of six in the 2018–19 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at Patinoire Polesud in Grenoble on November 23–25. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program. Laurine Lecavelier
Laurine Lecavelier (; born 26 April 1996) is a French former figure skater. She is a two-time Cup of Tyrol champion (2017, 2019), the 2017 Toruń Cup champion, the 2016 Golden Bear of Zagreb champion, and the 2017 French national champion. She has won a total of seven international events and finished within the top ten at four European Championships. Personal life Lecavelier was born on 26 April 1996 in Enghien-les-Bains, France. Romain Ponsart
Romain Ponsart (born 27 April 1992) is a retired French figure skater. He is the 2012 Triglav Trophy bronze medalist and 2015 Toruń Cup champion. He is a six-time French National medalist. Personal life Ponsart was born on 27 April 1992 in Charleville-Mézières, France. He was previously engaged to American figure skater Mariah Bell. Career Ponsart began competing on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in 2009. In 2011, he was selected to compete at the World Junior Championships and finished 17th. Piper Gilles (; born January 16, 1992) is an American-Canadian ice dancer who currently represents Canada internationally. Andrew Wolfe (born May 20, 1995) is a Canadian pair skater. With his skating partner, Camille Ruest, he is the 2019 Canadian national bronze medallist, and has represented Canada at the Four Continents and World Championships, placing eighteenth at the 2018 World Championships in Milan.
