2018 IIHF World U18 Championships
The 2018 IIHF U18 World Championship was the 20th IIHF World U18 Championship. The tournament was played from 19 to 29 April 2018 in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk, Russia. United States lost to Finland. Arena Metallurg (russian: Арена-Металлург) is an indoor sporting arena located in Magnitogorsk, Russia. The capacity of the arena is 7,500 and was built in 2006. Joel Farabee
Joel Farabee (born February 25, 2000) is an American professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Farabee was drafted in the first round, 14th overall at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Flyers. Growing up in Cicero, New York, Farabee competed with the Syracuse Nationals, Buffalo Jr Sabres, and Selects Hockey Academy at South Kent School. He joined the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in the United States Hockey League (USHL) before committing to play NCAA Division I ice hockey with the Boston University Terriers men's ice hockey team. Akil Thomas
Akil Thomas (born January 2, 2000) is a Canadian-American professional ice hockey centre currently playing for the Ontario Reign in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Los Angeles Kings. Prior to the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Thomas was projected as a top eligible draft pick. He was eventually drafted in the second round, 51st overall, by the Los Angeles Kings. Thomas began his major junior hockey career with the Niagara IceDogs in 2016. While with the team, Thomas set a new franchise record for regular-season points scored by a rookie and was named their captain. Upon returning from international competition in 2020, he was traded to the Peterborough Petes. Jared McIsaac (born March 27, 2000) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). Early life McIsaac was born on March 27, 2000, in Truro, Nova Scotia, to parents Jamie and Sandra. His father is a local ice hockey referee while his uncle Jon is a referee in the NHL. He grew up playing minor hockey in Truro before his family moved to Dartmouth in 2013. While playing peewee ice hockey in Cole Harbour, McIsaac moved from forward to defense when an opportunity opened on the roster. During his amateur career, McIsaac won a silver medal with Team Canada at the Youth Olympics and competed with Team Nova Scotia at the Gatorade Excellence Challenge. Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, better known as Raphael (; or ; March 28 or April 6, 1483April 6, 1520), was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance. His work is admired for its clarity of form, ease of composition, and visual achievement of the Neoplatonic ideal of human grandeur. Together with Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, he forms the traditional trinity of great masters of that period. Cameron "Cam" Hillis (born June 24, 2000) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for Kiekko-Espoo in the Liiga. He was selected in the third round, 66th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Hillis played Canadian High School hockey with St. Andrew's College and also featured in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association league. He was selected 28th overall in the 2016 Priority Selection Draft by the Guelph Storm and was later committed to join the major junior club for the 2017–18 season.
