2018 Football West Season
The 2018 Football West season was the fifth season under the current competition format in Western Australia. The NPL premiers Perth SC qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series. Pre-season changes League Tables 2018 National Premier Leagues WA This was the last season using a 14-team format. The bottom 3 teams (which was subject to eligibility requirements) at the end of the season were relegated to the State League 1. Perth Glory Youth was ineligible to receive prize monies in the end of season Top 4 Cup competition. Finals The Top Four Cup is played as a finals competition at the conclusion of the regular season. 2018 WA State League 1 The 2018 WA State League 1 was composed of 11 teams playing 20 games over a 22 round season. 2017 Football West Season
The 2017 Football West season was the fourth season under the new competition format in Western Australia. The NPL premier Bayswater City qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series, and were eliminated at the quarter-final stage. Pre-season changes League tables 2017 National Premier Leagues WA The 2017 National Premier Leagues WA season was played over 26 rounds commencing in February 2017, followed by a Top 4 Finals series. A revised Relegation system for the bottom team will depend on whether the two Division 1 teams that meet NPL WA eligibility criteria finish in the top 4 of the league season. If either come first, the bottom team will be relegated, but if one comes second, third or fourth, then there will be a promotion/relegation playoff. National Premier Leagues Western Australia
The National Premier Leagues Western Australia is a regional Australian semi-professional soccer league comprising teams from Western Australia. The league name is often abbreviated to NPL Western Australia or NPL WA. Bassendean Caledonians SFC
Bassendean Caledonian Soccer Football Club is an association football team based in Bassendean, Western Australia. History The club was founded on 11 February 1913 as the Caledonian Soccer Club by members of the Fremantle Caledonian Society. The club played games at Fremantle. World War I The tragedy of the First World War interrupted the formative years of the club. 2018 National Premier Leagues
The 2018 National Premier Leagues was the sixth season of the Australian National Premier Leagues football competition. The league competition was played amongst eight separate divisions, divided by FFA state and territory member federations. The divisions are ACT, NSW, Northern NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. The winners of each respective divisional league competed in a finals playoff tournament at season end, culminating in a Grand Final. Joondalup United FC
Joondalup United Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in the northern suburbs of Perth, with grounds at Forrest Park in Padbury, Prince Regent Park in Heathridge, Charonia Reserve in Mullaloo, and Beldon Park in Beldon. They currently compete in the Football West State League Division 1 and use Forrest Park as their home ground for their senior teams. Subiaco AFC
Subiaco AFC (Amateur Football Club) is a soccer club based in the city of Subiaco, Western Australia, with their home grounds at Rosalie Park. They are considered one of the biggest footballing teams in the state, with over 110 teams participating in various Football West competitions. History Early Years The club was formed originally in 1910 as the Subiaco British Association Football Club. Playing in black and white, they competed in WA British Football Association League at the Perth Oval and Wellington Square. In 1914 however, all play was suspended for six years due to World War 1. 1920s Subiaco returned to the field in 1923, this time wearing the current colours of maroon and gold. Balcatta Etna Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Balcatta, Perth, Western Australia. They compete in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia. History In the first year, 1978, playing at the new home ground, Reader Reserve in Hector St, Mt Yokine. Etna acquired fifth position on the ladder. In the second year, 1979, Etna finished seventh position on the ladder. In 2013 the club changed its name from Balcatta Soccer Club to Balcatta FC.
