2018 Ferrari Challenge Europe
The 2018 Ferrari Challenge Europe is the 25th season of Ferrari Challenge Europe. The season consisted of 7 rounds, starting at the Mugello Circuit on March 24 and ending at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza on November 3. Nicklas Nielsen
Nicklas Nielsen (born 6 February 1997 in Hørning) is a professional Ferrari GT factory racing driver from Denmark. Career Karting Nielsen began karting when he was 4 years old back in 2001. He competed in many international events and championships, winning ten major titles. Lower formula In 2016, Nielsen made his single-seater debut in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship in Germany, finishing 8th and winning the Rookie's championship while racing for the Austrian Neuhauser Racing team, scoring 3 podiums and 2 fastest laps. In 2017, Nielsen returned to the ADAC championship, this time with the US Racing team. Although he did win a race and scored 3 podiums, a team disqualification at the Lausitzring event and a major accident induced by a competitor which caused irreparable damage to his car for the rest of the event at the Nürburgring deprived him of a proper chance to fight for the title. Ferrari 488
The Ferrari 488 (Type F142M) is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. The car replaced the 458, being the first mid-engine Ferrari to use a turbocharged V8 since the F40. It was succeeded by the Ferrari F8. The car is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, smaller in displacement but generating a higher power output than the 458's naturally aspirated engine. The 488 GTB was named "The Supercar of the Year 2015" by car magazine ''Top Gear'', as well as becoming ''Motor Trend''s 2017 "Best Driver's Car". Manuela Gostner (born 19 May 1984 in Bolzano) is a racing driver from Italy. Biography A member of the Gostner family synonymous with Ferrari Challenge competition, Manuela entered the European championship with encouragement from her brother David at the end of the 2014 season. She became a regular name in the amateur Coppa Shell class over the coming years, winning two races in 2018. Claudio Schiavoni (born 14 November 1960) is an Italian racing driver currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series for Iron Lynx. Schiavoni previously competed in the Ferrari Challenge, Blancpain GT Sports Club and Michelin Le Mans Cup with Kessel Racing and Scuderia Niki. Loris Kessel
Loris Kessel (1 April 1950 – 15 May 2010) was a racing driver from Switzerland. Biography He was born in Lugano and died in Montagnola following a long illness. He participated in six Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on 2 May 1976. He scored no championship points. In 1976, he drove a Brabham for RAM, and in 1977 he drove his own Apollon- Williams, although this car was not a success. Kessel ran a series of car dealerships in Switzerland and his own racing team, competing in Ferrari Challenge series in Italy and the main European series. Fabienne Wohlwend (born 7 November 1997 in Vaduz) is a female racing driver from Liechtenstein who competes in the W Series. Biography Formula 4 Wohlwend entered car racing in 2016, having been successful in junior karting in Liechtenstein and Switzerland. She debuted in the Italian F4 Championship with Aragón Racing, before a mid-season switch to DR Formula. She failed to qualify for the final at the first round in Misano (the series ran a unique format for said round after 41 cars entered a circuit with a capacity of 36) and, after the qualifying race system was abandoned, did not score any points during the course of the season - her best finish being an 11th place in the final race of the season at Monza. Vicente "Enzo" Potolicchio (born 7 August 1968 in Caracas) is a Venezuelan racing driver and businessman, who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Rolex Sports Car Series for Starworks Motorsport. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya () is a motorsport race track in Montmeló, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder circuit. The track has stands with a capacity of 140,700. Christophe Hurni (born 1 December 1962, Switzerland) is a Swiss racing driver. Biography Hurni started racing at 21, competing in the '' Volant Elf'' talent search at Circuit Paul Ricard in 1983 and making the finals alongside Jean Alesi and eventual winner Éric Bernard. After a short stint in karting he moved into Formula 3, contesting mainly the Swiss championship but also various events across Europe (most notably in Monaco).
