2018 Euro Beach Soccer League
The 2018 Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL) was the 21st edition of the ''Euro Beach Soccer League'', the annual, premier competition in European beach soccer contested between men's national teams. It was organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), in a league and play-off format. This season, teams continued to take part in two divisions, the top tier (Division A) and the bottom tier (Division B). 12 teams continued to contest Division A, consisting of the top 11 finishers from last year plus Turkey who were promoted to the top tier. Whilst Division B accommodated 15 nations: 13 nations who did not gain promotion from last season, Georgia who made their debut, plus Greece who were relegated from the top tier at the end of last season. No nations returned after an absence from competing in recent years, however, the Netherlands, who had competed in the last two seasons, did not enter this year. 2006 Euro Beach Soccer League
The 2006 Euro Beach Soccer League, was the ninth edition of the Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL), the premier beach soccer competition contested between European men's national teams, occurring annually since its establishment in 1998. The league was organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) between June 2 and August 27, 2006 in eight different nations across Europe. This season saw the introduction of a number of changes. This included having Division B nations compete first, attempting to qualify to play in Division A later in the season. Division A also underwent organisational rearrangements – each stage was now played as a knockout tournament involving all eight nations. Italy entered the tournament as defending champions but lost to Spain in the Superfinal semi-finals. The 2005 Euro Beach Soccer League, was the eighth edition of the Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL), originally known as the ''European Pro Beach Soccer League'', the premier beach soccer competition contested between European men's national teams, occurring annually since its establishment in 1998. The league was organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) between July 8 and August 28, 2005 in five different nations across Europe. Following the preceding season, BSWW continued organising the nations of the EBSL across three divisions (A, B and C), with each team competing in their respective division to try and earn a place in the season-finale event, the Superfinal, in which the league title was then contested directly. Italy were ultimately crowned champions, coming back from 5–1 down in the last period of the final to win their first European title. Beach Soccer At The 2019 European Games
The beach soccer tournament at the 2019 European Games was held from 25 to 29 June. It was the second edition of beach soccer at the European Games. Eight men’s teams, comprising 96 athletes, competed over five days of competition. Medalists Qualification Belarus is qualified as host country. The remaining seven teams have qualified through the 2018 Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL). The top six teams in the Superfinal will qualify with the top team from the Promotional Final. The 1998 Euro Beach Soccer League was the first edition of the Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL), the premier beach soccer competition contested between men's European national teams, originally known as the ''European Pro Beach Soccer League'' at the time. The competition was organised by ''Beach Soccer Company'' (BSC), the precursors to Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) who took over organisation in 2001, between June 6 and September 20, 1998 in seven different nations across Europe. The debut season was set up to be a competition with a presence throughout the summer to promote the newly founded sport in Europe through the consistency of a summer-long, professional-level spectacle.
