2018 Bosnian General Election
General elections were held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 7 October 2018. They decided the makeup of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency as well as national, entity, and cantonal governments. Voter turnout was 54%. The elections for the House of Representatives were divided into two; one for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one for Republika Srpska. In the presidential election, voters in the Federation elected Bosniak Šefik Džaferović and Croat Željko Komšić, while voters in Republika Srpska elected Serb Milorad Dodik. The Party of Democratic Action emerged as the largest party in the House of Representatives, winning 9 of the 42 seats. Electoral system The three members of the Presidency are elected by plurality. Presidency Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, Predsjedništvo Bosne i Hercegovine, separator=" / ", Предсједништво Босне и Херцеговине) is a three-member body which collectively serves as head of state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to Article V of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the presidency comprises three members: one Bosniak, one Serb, and one Croat. The Bosniak and Croat members are elected from a joint constituency in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whilst the Serb member is elected from voters in Republika Srpska. The three members elected at any one election serve a collective four-year term. Individuals are able to serve no more than two consecutive four-year terms, although there are no overall term limits. Zoran Tegeltija
Zoran Tegeltija (; born 29 September 1961) is a Bosnian Serb politician serving as the 10th Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina since December 2019. He was Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska from 2010 to 2018 and mayor of Mrkonjić Grad from 2004 until 2010. Tegeltija is a member of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats. He graduated from the School of Economics and Business at the University of Sarajevo in 1986, and later worked in customs services. Tegeltija was elected to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska in 2000. In 2004, he was elected mayor of Mrkonjić Grad and re-elected in 2008. Denis Zvizdić
Denis Zvizdić (born 9 June 1964) is a Bosnian politician who served as Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2015 to 2019. He is currently a member of the House of Representatives. Zvizdić also served as Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton from 2003 to 2006. He was a longtime member of the Party of Democratic Action, until he left it in 2021 to join the People and Justice party. Early life and education Zvizdić was born on 9 June 1964 in Sarajevo. Senad Šepić (born 24 December 1977) is a Bosnian politician who is the current president of the Independent Bloc and has been serving as a member of the national House of Representatives since 12 January 2012.
